Push or a pull is known as force. Standard international unit of measuring force is Newtons(N). basically we use force to do some things. They are,
Object at rest can be moved.
Object at motion can be stopped.
The speed of the motion can be change.
The direction of motion can be changed.
shape of an object can be changed.
Force has an magnitude and direction. There for it is a vector quantity. To measure the magnitude of the force spring balance or the newton balance is used.
Relationship between kg and newtons
1kg = 10N
5kg = 50N
Point of application of force
The point of an object on which the force is exerted is known as the point of application of force.
